Random #RozeReflections: You are Worthy

I'm in need of a pick me up today. How about you?

We are told that honesty is the best policy, but at this point in life, I'm realizing that while honesty is never bad, it does have consequences. People may not like what you have to say. Relationships might be severed. You might be viewed differently.

I'm realizing that honesty is not about the other person. It's about me - about ourselves. It's about being a person of integrity and not letting regret, shame, or the unknown stop you from living your truth.

It's a lie of the greatest and most insidious sort that we are too broken, bruised, or beat down to be loved. That's antithetical to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If someone isn't willing to love you because of who you are, that's not about you. It's about them.

You are worth every risk.
You are worthy of love and belonging.
You are beautiful and made in the image of the Divine.

My favorite song from The Greatest Showman is on repeat today. There is nothing you've done, experienced, thought, etc... that makes you less than. There's nothing that's happened in your life that makes you unworthy of love, belonging and affection. Where you've been and what you've experienced are a part of who you are. As long as you keep moving forward, are open to growth, and continually fall in love with yourself, all matter of things will be well.

I am brave, I am bruised
I am who I'm meant to be, this is me
We are glorious.
